My approach to counselling and psychotherapy is client-centred and supportive. Through a focus on a client’s awareness and experience of self in the “here and now”, past issues and future concerns are addressed within the therapeutic relationship as they are experienced in the present.

I work with individuals and couples on issues related to anxiety, depression, anger, stress, grief, loss, career, relationships, trauma, addictions and life transitions. I offer both brief and longer term psychotherapy.
I also have over 15 years experience as a group educator and facilitator. I have developed and provided worksite stress management courses, co-led men’s anger management and belief/behaviour change groups, created and facilitated ongoing women’s support groups, and developed and led a number of workshops related to personal growth and life transitions.
Prior to entering private practice, I worked as a consultant in the mental health, addictions and community health sector. My expertise includes organizational development and training, strategic and service planning and needs assessment.
My counselling, educational and consulting services are provided with compassion as well as competence. Client confidentiality is assured in a safe environment. My relationship with clients is based on my genuine caring and respect for them and my belief in their capacity for healing and growth. I subscribe to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
